  • June 12th’s 2nd Saturday Ride

So Team-HSV has selected a splendid sports bar for June’s Ride-2-Eat. We previewed the road to Tullahoma from HSV, which is similar to the planned ride to Monteagle… We completed the ride in about two hours on a glorious Friday. Here’s the Destination’s info: >> <<. I enjoyed a prime rib panini while Karen enjoyed their grilled Italian-flavored cheese panini. Frank enjoyed his four modest-sized shrimp tacos. So June’s Lunch is covered!

We then rode a modest 6 miles north to the Cascade Hollow Distillery {aka George Dickel’s historic establishment: }. Beside their whiskey, I guess we like to visit cause Retired Vets get a free tasting of four of their fine spirits (regular fee = $20)… Bring your military ID should you choose to participate. I suspect the weather will be warmer than the 60s-70s we enjoyed.

We’ll shoot for an 11:30 arrival at 119 NW Atlantic Street on Second Saturday. We’ll depart HSV NLT 0915 from our weekly Vintage Bikers’ Sat morning breakfast at the Blue Plate Cafe.
{3210 Governors Dr SW, in Rocket City >> << - so show up with Petrol Already In Your Tank!

Meanwhile, hope that some MOAL members magically appear at the actual Real May Business Mtg planned for Pickwick Landing State Park next weekend!

Be there or be square! Ciao, Phil & Karen

Think the consensus was we had a terrific Second Saturday Ride-2-Eat today. Go look at the MOAL Facebook page cause I think Pam & Tom will post some candid photographic evidence. I have a single MOA 5-bikes-in-a-Row shot taken along Atlantic Street in Tullahoma. The food was very tasty at DaddyBilly's. Attendees included Pam & Tom from Decatur, Phil & Karen from HSV, Jim up from Pelham, and our Northern Alabama Vintage biker guests: Alan, Frank, Linda & Mike... After lunch we popped over to George Dickel's Tasting Room in "Cascade Hollow." The Beech Aircraft Museum will just have to wait for another trip...

Need you guys to serve yourselves this summer while P & K are CoddyWompling out west... Somebody ought to be able to suggest a restaurant around B'Ham or Leeds or Enterprise for July or August...

As the MOA prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022, Vernon wants all y'all to reach out to any of the MOAL's founders that you're in contact with. Invite them to the October Business Meeting at the Guntersville Lake Lodge. We're gonna do some celebrating ourselves cause it'll be the BMW Riders of Alabama's 50th Anniversary too!

Have fun at the July Meeting at Vance & Mari's on Lake Logan Martin! We'll see what Rides to Eat the Autumn brings.
    Happy Trails, Y'all!
    Ciao, Phil & Karen

Six Beemers and one FJR in front of Daddy-Billy's (plus one very long freight train).

If you would have picked a place in Alabama for the Alabama MOA club to meet somebody might have showed up.
