  • May Second Saturday Ride 2 Eat

Prepare for an "interesting epicurean experience" y'all.

We pre-rode a route to Tuscumbia on 23/04 -- needs a bit of refinement... The Rattlesnake Saloon is worth the effort tho!

Our small group of riders at our luncheon in the 'really cool' / as in 'chilly' underground restaurant.

Stay tuned - more info will follow; here's the 'Ford Shuttle' that takes U to/from Lunch!

And just 10 miles down the road is the World Famous Coon Dog Cemetery for the reverential & curious riders!

So mark your calendars for an unusual luncheon on May 8th just south of Tuscumbia.

Once I get my 'stuff' together, I'll send out the official MOAL e-Blast.
    Ciao! Phil & Karen

      Why do U ask, Jim?

I've got indications from at least ten locals from North AL.

As far as actual club members, that would be P&K + Pam & Tom + Jim McCorstin {A maybe by Mike Marshall who was at Happy Hour tonight}.

Not much actual communication is received by moi... - I tried to eBlast the club membership on 29 April... Did U get an actual eMail re: R2E & May Business Mtg?

Weather should be Very Fine! If U wake up on the right side of the bed, please put on your riding gear and come to lunch!

Hope to arrive at the restaurant's gravel parking lot NLT 1130...
      Cheers, P&K

So, IMHO, I was pleasantly surprised by the good turnout for May’s ‘Second Saturday’ R2E! Most everybody Didn’t Actually Say they were attending, because all y’all AlaBeemers like to keep your cards close to your chest - in case of Bigger & Better Opportunities!

Altogether I recorded 16 enthusiastic Beemerphiles in three sequential groups! Here’s the tally; sorry but my photos were less than spectacular.

        Phil & Karen A.
        Jim D.
        Tim F.
        Vance & Mari H.
        Lee H.
        David H.
        Jerry H.
        Mike M.
        Jim M.
        Alan N.
        John R.
        Doug T.
        Tom & Pam W.

DOUG shared his panoramic saloon view which I shrank a lot for web-size limits.

Speaking of Doug, that's him on the left, with Mike, John, Alan as P&K do another CoddiWomple Glamour Shot...

Hope everyone enjoyed the ride home and the rest of your weekend! Planning a June Second Saturday visit for those interested to Jim Oliver’s Smokehouse in Monteagle, TN. We'll perform a reconnaissance run from HSV in the near future.

Be safe & be seen out there, and
we'll see y'all at PICKWICK LANDING STATE PARK in TWO WEEKS!

Wish I could have made the trip, but the yard beckoned! Something about "knee-high grass" doesn't fit into the neighborhood.

Thanks To P&K for pulling this one together. I have to admit it was a little chilly when Mari & I left home at 06:15! But we had a great ride up with Tim, Jim and brother Lee. Great to see you all!

I wonder why their web site doesn't reveal that. Thanks Martin.

Thanx for your interest in our next ride-2-eat! We learned about this unfortunate news yesterday (at the Bowler Hat Brewery). We were intending to preride our HSV route north on backroads today... We're now headed to a 'biker bar / sports bar' in Tullahoma, with the possible post-luncheon detour to our favorite distillery nearby.
