The members of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Alabama are pleased to invite you to join us for a reunion and celebration of our 50th Anniversary.

The BMWMOAL will host a reunion October 23, 2021 at Guntersville State Park Lodge. Refreshments will be served starting at 1 pm in Riverview Suite. At 5 pm, we will have a brief Honorary Toast to our Founders, give away some door prizes and invite guests to share 50 years of memories. Founding member John Harper, from Anniston AL plans to attend and share experiences from the time. Afterwards, please be our guest for dinner at the Guntersville Lodge Buffet. Dinner seating is limited to 60, so please reserve early.

If you wish to stay at the Guntersville Lodge, we have a block of rooms under the club’s name for priority reservations until 22 September. Please make your reservation by calling local (256) 506-6621 or toll free (800) 548-4553. Twelve rooms have been blocked under code 8733, so make an early reservation as we will likely run out of our block quickly. Campground reservations can be made on line at https://www.reservealapark.com/AlabamaWebHome/
There are also hotels in Guntersville just 9 miles away, including: Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Wyndham Garden Lake Inn, and others.

Due to the response from members, 10 additional rooms have been blocked at the Guntersville Lodge and the date extended to 9/3 to make reservations under the club name. To date, there are 32 reservations for dinner. Remember there is a limit to the number we will be able to seat in the dining room so if you are thinking about joining us for dinner, please don't wait until the last minute. Our contact at the state Park also let us know that like almost everyone everywhere, they are short staff, so your patience and understanding is appreciated.

If anyone is interested, there has been a cancellation for a room at the Lodge for our Birthday celebration in Guntersville in October. Contact me and I will get you the info.
To date there are 49 members registered to attend. Founding members John Harper and John Swafford will be attending. Ray Zimmerman, former Exec Director of BMWMOA and club member from 1973, will be there and is bringing slides from the 70's.

Hope you're excited for the upcoming October Business Meeting and the 50th Anniversary B'Day Bash at the Lake Guntersville Lodge. We've found a source for Special Edition celebratory Tee-Shirts, but we need to place an order for a Specific quantity [without starting an inventory management fulfillment operation].
Please email treasurer@bmwmoal.org and cc president@bmwmoal.org with your Quantity and Size requests. We need to get this order sent to production ASAP, so please don't hesitate. Obviously, the larger the order, the better the price will be for all upon delivery at the party.
Our prices are as follows:
For an order of 13 to 36 shirts; prices will be:
$15.50 each for Small to X-Large, and
$17.50 each for XX-Large.
For a Larger order of 37 to 72, the price drops to:
$10.50 each for Small to X-Large, and
$12.50 each for XX-large.
A very reasonable amount for a quality 'Dark Blue' 50/50 Gildan shirt [no shrinkage].
the actual logo will be a complimentary, lighter color with a small logo on chest; a Big Logo on the Back!

deadline for RSVP orders by the second Monday: October 9th! We want attendees to get their shirts On Time - we're not going into the tee-shirt inventory business. It's Now or Never Ladies & Gents!

Thanks to John & Jeanne Zibell for hosting the MOAL's 50th Birthday Celebration in the Lodge's Hospitality Suite (as they've done so well in the past). We were pleased to reconnect with several of the founders and they brought a few B&W photos of their early days. After a respectable buffet dinner we resumed our socializing by watching the Bama Game... It's what we do here at the Lake in Oktober.
