Had 17 attendees for the annual Holiday festivities in Hoover; not as many as we’ve had in the past few years.

Phil + Karen provided some take-out from the Honey Baked Ham outlet. Others brought some deviled-eggs, snacks or sweets. Folks didn’t step away from the table deprived or famished.

The party continued in the lobby with the Dirty Santa gift exchange - most everyone was pleased { Wanda more so than Bob }!

T’was agreed to meet again on Saturday, January 28th for the 2023 Election, planning session, and By-Law acceptance vote. Please review my previous dispatch {I’ll likely send out again}. We expect to gather Sat afternoon in the meeting room, and then wander down the road to the local Baumhowers for dinner. More to follow via eBlast.

Of course January 1st means that your MOAL renewal is certainly requested & needed. That task will be Jeanne’s assignment: membership@bmwmoal.org
Do hope you’ll bring some enthusiasm and ideas for activities in 2023 to the Hampton Inn on Farley Ct next month.

So Happy Thanksgiving Greetings to everyone this Sat, 19-Nov-22!

Last weekend was our November Business Meeting where I was directed by the attendees to proceed with arrangements for the “regular Dirty Santa” extravaganza at the BHM Eagle Point Hampton Inn. I’ve arranged for some rooms to be blocked if you mention the BMW MOAL club gathering you should get a rate of $109 not including taxes of course… Please RSVP to president@bmwmoal.org if you’re booking a room or just coming for the dinner & afterwards [see how we try to cater to the centralized club membership]. Folks are also encouraged to bring a covered side dish or another favorite for the Saturday night dinner & meeting {5-7 pm}; the club will supply the TBD protein. It’s hoped that the Dirty Santa escapades will move to the large lobby as is the custom. It was also agreed that, due to aggravating inflation and Supply Chain Issues, Dirty Santa gifts should be priced at or below $25. Let’s try to be jovial AND yet sensible!
