  • Martin's airhead has some company at the Jone's establishment

I dropped "Louise" off this past weekend for a few little things to be done and got to see Martin's R100 on the lift. Rick told me that Gary had droped it off the day before. Louise is going to have the final drive rebuilt which includes all new seals and the splines will be recoated with Nickel, then cut on a C&C machine so I never have to worry about them wearing out. I am having a bit of preventive maintenance done so I can jsut enjoy the ride when I am home on break, (bearings, brakes, etc.) I am also getting all the major things done early so that when my brother and I take our 4 corners ride with the airheads, they will be ready to roll.

Hey Steve, I brought Rick the transmission only out of Martin's bike. The removal of the trans. after determining it was not the driveshaft was performed at Terry's Two Wheel. Rick has rebuilt several transmissions for me and always does an excellant job.

      Hey Gary,

I saw a bike on the stand and just assumed when Rick started telling me the story about Martin's transmission and the dreaded circlip.

Rick rebuilt my transmission as well back at the end of 09. She is as smooth as glass now.

      Take care,

      Steve
